23% of California homes valued over $1 million

California had 1.73 million homes valued at $1 million or more in 2021, representing 41 percent of the 4.2 million homes so valued nationally. In fact, 23 percent of all California homes were valued at ! million or above.

For a bit of perspective, only 2.2 percent of the other states’ homes were valued above the $1 million mark.
