As mortgage rates continue to creep up and home inventory remains low, the median price for a single-family home in the Bay Area is now above $1.3 million.
Contra Costa County is now at $930,000 while a typical home Alameda County will cost $1.3 million.
There is a bit of good news as the federal government has reduced mortgage fees for buyers with lower credit scores which can cut closing costs by thousands of dollars.
