Traditionally strong home sales in the spring may be down a bit this year in the Bay Area as pending home sales declined by over 17 percent from April 2016. Home listings continue to be low and demand remains strong.
As in months past, real estate professionals cited low inventory as their chief concern in the nine county Bay Area. Of course, low supply and high demand directly influences affordability as well.
Analysts also expressed concern over the rising possibility of a housing bubble.
