In a new report to pick the best cities for singles, WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities, including the 150 most populous metropolitan areas, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state using three criteria: economics, fun / recreation, and dating opportunities.
And, while the top two were Atlanta and Denver, respectively, San Francisco cane in third due to its accessibility and walkability. Also cited San Francisco’s many attractions, restaurants, coffee shops, and nightlife. Not surprisingly, high rents, pricey restaurants, and high salon costs were seen as negatives.
San Diego (#4) and Los Angeles (#7) were other California cities in the top 10. Interestingly, Fremont came in at #167 and had the lowest percentage of singles in the survey.
