December 2014 saw a sharp rise in the sales of newly built single-family homes as they rose 11.6 percent over the previous November, a sure sign that the new-construction market would continue to gain ground heading in 2015.
As the sales increased so did the prices as the median price of a new home sold in December was $298,100, up from November’s $291,600 price.
Analysts are optimistic that there will be increased traffic and more serious buyers in the market for single-family homes during the early months of 2015.
