MarketWatch is reporting that young families today are placing a premium on having a playroom for the kids, even at the expense of having a large backyard. Buyers – especially millennials – are placing a premium on everyone having a private space of their own – and this may strongly affect their buying decision.
If the listing doesn’t have a playroom, many buyers are looking for ways to add one, even if it means repurposing the formal dining room.
Moreover, these young buyers will sacrifice a large backyard for a playroom, especially if there is a playground nearby.
