According to a Zillow analysis, spring is the optimum time for listing a home; early May in 17 of the 35 largest metro areas in the U.S. to be exact. Listing during the peak time can bring a premium of $2,100 in a typical home and as much as $24,400 in more expensive markets such as San Jose.
If you’re looking for a quick sale then late April is the best bet as early-bird buyers try to beat the crowds and homes can sell up to seven days faster.
And Saturday is traditionally the best say to list a home for sale while Tuesday is considered the worst.
